JAVA
A programming language based on the C++ language and developed by Sun Microsystems. Java was developed to include methods for Internet data manipulation. Java applications can be written once and run on any machine having a Java Virtual Machine as part of its operating system.
Java is an object-oriented programming language developed initially by James Gosling and colleagues at Sun Microsystems. The language, initially called Oak (named after the oak trees outside Gosling's office), was intended to replace C++, although the feature set better resembles that of Objective C. Java should not be confused with JavaScript, which shares only the name and a similar C-like syntax. Sun Microsystems currently maintains and updates Java regularly.
Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) - a version of Java for developing and deploying enterprise applications.
J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) technology and its component-based model simplify enterprise development and deployment. The J2EE platform manages the infrastructure and supports the Web services to enable development of secure, robust and interoperable business plications.
The Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition: another of the Java platforms, J2EE includes the J2SE and is dedicated to enterprise software development. J2EE systems typically include Web servers, application servers, messaging software, and increasingly Web-services engines. J2EE is an umbrella specification that includes many popular technologies: Servlets, JSP, EJB, JMS, and the Java Web-services APIs (SAAJ and JAX-RPC) are all part of J2EE.
Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition or J2EE is a programming platform for developing and running distributed multi-tier architecture applications, based largely on modular components running on an application server. The J2EE platform is defined by a specification. J2EE is also considered informally to be a language or standard because providers must agree to certain conformance requirements in order to declare their products as J2EE compliant; albeit with no ISO or ECMA standard.
EHS has experienced and dedicated Java programmers.
